Randy Barnhill has been promoted to National Director of SmartData Dashboard! Randy will be responsible for the implementation and adoption of our software for schools around the nation. Previously, he was state director of Arkansas, and because of the growth of the company, his position has expanded to a national role.
As state director, he worked closely with SmartData Dashboard creator and Chief Executive Officer Harvey Hughes to increase the schools they serve from 30 to 265 in Arkansas and Texas. Hughes said that “Barnhill has been an integral part of our company’s growth over the last three years. We will continue to rely on his enthusiasm to help fellow educators learn how to effectively use our program to help schools address students’ safety and curricular needs.”
Randy said, “SmartData Dashboard is a tool that allows educators to identify students who are at risk of disengagement and failing classes or even worse out of school. I am looking forward to working with our SmartData staff as we grow our company around the nation to help schools help kids be successful in both academics and the social/emotional aspects of school. “
Randy began working with SmartData Dashboard in the Fall of 2019 after working as a public educator, coach and dean of students. Barnhill earned his Bachelor’s Degree in education and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. While earning his undergraduate, he was a standout football player winning one national championship and earning the honor of being chosen as a Consensus All American Football Player from both Kodak, Football News and Associated Press.
Hughes created SmartData Dashboard to identify at-risk students using data such as attendance, grades, and behavior patterns. The program incorporates information from multiple sources to provide real-time data to educators to help them make databased decisions.
